I, later joined by my husband, have been owned by Pugs since
1998. We started out as a "Love Pug" family, but after attending
our first dog show with some Boxer friends in late 2004, I was
overcome by the beauty of the Pugs I saw being shown in the
ring. They were like no other Pugs I had ever seen before, and I
knew at that very moment that I wanted to be a part of "that
world". I also knew that being in a wheelchair there would be
obstacles I would have to overcome. However, those obstacles
paled in comparison to my hopes and aspirations. So, in
2005-2007, with our desire to enter the show ring, and having
110% commitment to the betterment of the breed in our hearts,
we welcomed into our home our first show prospects from the
most wonderful breeders. These long time, well respected
breeders put their faith in us, and entrusted us with a part of
their years of hard work and dedication to the breed. We will be
forever grateful to those breeders, and will continue on with the
same hard work, dedication, and commitment to the breed.
As of January 2015, Hill Country Pugs has 25 CHAMPIONS
to our credit!! Thank you so much to those who believed in us,
and contributed to our start!! We will be forever grateful...
